Core Values
At H.O.P.E. we are passionate about our mission and believe everyone should have equitable access to our services. We strive to meet clients where they are because we believe it is important for everyone to know their health status.
H.O.P.E.’s values are:
- Client-centered – This means meeting clients where they are at and recognizing the inherent dignity and worth of every client.
- Non-judgmental – This means we do not criticize clients’ choices. We offer everyone the services they need and focus on harm reduction strategies.
- Confidentiality – This means we take seriously all clients confidentiality and ensure high standards of confidentiality.
- Culturally responsive – This means we recognize that different clients need different types of services and we strive to adapt to meet their needs.
History
H.O.P.E. began in the mid-nineties in response to the AIDS epidemic. We officially incorporated in 1998. Over the years, H.O.P.E. has expanded its range of services to meet the needs of the community.
